We had a great time today at the Walk for Williams in Derry, NH. The rain did us a favor and held off for us to have the walk, enjoy some burgers and dogs while we visited with friends, and then dance a little to the DJ. Gwen and Sawyer's cousins are on vacation and couldn't come to the Walk this year, but they sent some money to buy some raffle tickets for them-- my nephew has a three year winning streak going, and he just made it four, walking away with a third of the raffle prizes. It was a lovely day, and we are so blessed to know so many other WS families in our area, and also to have so many friends and family who support Team Sawyer.
And now, a few pictures from the day!

Baking for the Walk
Gwen and I have been super busy the past two days with baking and decorating cookies for the WS Walk. We made hand and heart cookies in the colors of the WSA logo and have plenty to share with our fellow WS families tomorrow in Derry. Cookie decorating is a full body experience for a four-year-old, so I'll be checking behind her ears for sprinkles tonight at bath time.
We can't wait to see all of the awesome WS families tomorrow! Here's hoping the rain holds off long enough for us to walk and then get a hamburger!

Welcome to the New Blog for Team Sawyer!
We have only one more day until the Derry, NH Walk for Williams Syndrome to benefit the Williams Syndrome Association, and Team Sawyer has already exceeded its goal of raising $1500 in donations. The forecast is looking a little iffy for Saturday, but we know we will have a great time visiting with the other WS families and catching up with friends. Gwen is helping me make some special cookies with LOTS of sparkles-- I'll have to post a photo when they are ready.
Every year, we support the Walk for Williams through the Team Sawyer WSA donation page; however, the page has a new loooooooooooooong address each year which makes it difficult to for people to find and impossible for us to just tell people in passing where to donate. So, I am making this new blog as a place where you can check in year to year and find out about Team Sawyer and WS related events and news.
If you would still like to donate to Team Sawyer, you can do so here.
And if you aren't exactly sure what Williams Syndrome is, the WSA has this new 10-minute video that is a wonder synopsis.
Thank you again for your support, and we will be sure to post some photos after the Walk.
